Activities
_______________________________________________________
Hi there,
As you know, taking
care of our planet is something that will
benefit our children for many generations to come and what
we do now has a direct impact on their future.
April 22nd is Earth Day and today we wanted to give you
some ideas to celebrate and get your child involved, not just
on this one day, but every day.
There are many things you can do to teach your child the
importance of taking care of the environment, from craft
projects like making a Papier Mache globe to adopting a
highway or planting a tree.
Depending on the age of your child, you can find activities
they will enjoy while helping to keep the earth a cleaner and
happier place for everyone. Here are just a few ideas for
getting your kids involved.
- Plant a tree in your yard.
- Adopt a highway. Check with your local government for
more details.
- Recycle (many younger kids love to organize and re-use
things)
- Find a recipe that uses ingredients from scratch and prepare
it together
- Make Earth Day a time for family traditions that you can do
each year and your child can carry on when they have a
family of their own.

History
Earth Day is a great day to educate your child, as well as
spend quality time together. Remember to keep the activity
age appropriate and enjoyable for a positive experience you
will both remember for years to come.
