Subject: Here Comes Peter Cottontail - Easter Bunny Shoelace Craft

_______________________________________________________

Spring is right around the corner and that means Easter is
close. Before you know it the flowers will be blooming and
the bunnies will be hopping around, but no bunny is as fun
for your kids as the Easter bunny.

This week we want to pass along some Easter ideas including
this Easter Bunny shoelace craft that will have your children
hopping down the bunny trail in no time.

What You’ll Need

Craft foam in two colors
Pencil
Scissors with decorative edges
Regular scissors
Craft glue
Googly eyes
Tiny Jingle bells
Pom-poms or cotton balls

Using the pencil draw the shape of a bunny face on one color
craft foam. (Face should be 3 inches wide and 5 inches tall.)
Cut out face using decorative-edge scissors. Trace and cut
out a second, matching face. On each face, glue on a pair of
googly eyes.

Using the opposite color foam cut four shapes for the inside
of the bunny ears and glue onto ears.

Use regular scissors and cut two slits large enough for a
shoelace to fit through in the middle of each face.

Thread a jingle bell into the center of each lace, then
through the slits so the ends come out the back of the
bunny's head.

To make the cheeks, glue on the pom-poms just below the
jingle bell nose. Thread the laces into your child's shoes
and tie into a bow.

We’ve also got a few tips for Easter activities the whole
family will enjoy and ideas to help create the perfect Easter
basket for all your little chicks.
